In a move that will bring in more development to Chakan and ultimately to real estate in this area, the Maharashtra state government has cleared the phase-2 of the land acquisition plan for the Chakan airport.
This recent development will see the arrival of more automobile and ancillary industries in Pune and places near the airport. The MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) will invite industries to set up shop in Chakan phase II by the middle of next year. The MIDC will now begin compensating the farmers, about 1,000 of them, at Rs 40 lakh per hectare. The Chakan phase II covers six villages: Warale, Waruli, Bhambuli, Shinde, Khalumbre and Sawardari.
The Genesis property will have an immediate positive effect due to this recent news. Genesis is located 18 kms from the proposed Chakan airport. The presence of the proposed airport and the other industries in Chakan II would eventually attract people’s interest in this region. More businesses will be interested to have a presence here. As automobile players are to be invited to set up industries here, it will transform into an export hub and this will attract more development. Heralding industry in this region, the proposed airport will lead to Genesis gaining appreciation in the immediate future.
