 Overview
Karjat is an extended suburb of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra. It located on Bhor ghat, Sahyadri, Western Ghats as well as at the end of coastal plains of Konkan region near Deccan. Most of the area in Karjat comes under the residential zone and is known for its clean air, green environment and cosmopolitan composition. Close proximity to tourist attractions like Lonavla and Matheran and easy accessibility has helped it evolve as a prime weekend getaway.
